邓巍巍教授1999,2001年年毕业于清华大学工程力学系,获学士和硕士学位,2008年获耶鲁大学(Yale University)机械工程专业博士学位。2008年8月-2010年6月在耶鲁大学进行博士后研究工作。2010年6月-2015年8月任美国中佛罗里达大学(University of Central Florida)助理教授。2015年8月-2017年5月任弗吉尼亚理工(Virginia Tech)副教授。2017年5月起任南方科技大学教授。

从事实验流体力学,雾化,电喷雾纳米制造等领域的研究。

2015年获美国国家科学基金委职业奖(NSF CAREER Award)。2017年中组部第十三批“青年千人计划”。
